The Water Quality Monitoring is a new program, supported by the City of Gold Coast – Catchment Management Unit. The program will be coordinated and managed by the Gold Coast Catchment Association and is in collaboration with Gecko and the Coomera River Catchment Group. Successful pilot studies and participant training have be initiated throughout the second half of the 2017/2018 financial year. The program raises community and government awareness in the Gold Coast region and aims to distribute information on waterways health, trends and impacts. The program is open to the wider community and we really encourage everyone to participate and learn new skills whilst collecting vital data! We aim to collaborate with more community groups to be able expand the program in the next year.
