Volunteer with us

To connect those that care to a worthy cause we need eyes and ears on the ground and people behind the scenes to keep everyone connected and informed. Volunteer in your own hours and at home or office or wherever you might be and whether it’s 1hr a week or a few more, every action with us makes a lasting difference. Please see the follow volunteer positions below. If you are interested in volunteering with us please contact us with your name, phone number, email address, time availability, list any previous experience (not necessary) and location on the Gold Coast, and the role you would like to volunteer.

 

Communications Volunteer

To support the Association’s communications role including but not limited to written content for the website, e-newsletter, media releases, social media, discussion forums and regular communications with internal and external partners.

Please note that we do not have an office. Volunteer support will be provided virtually and volunteers may need to attend meetings when needed. Time commitment expected to be a maximum five hours a week.

 

Events Volunteer

Responsible for the co-coordination and co-facilitation of events, including but not limited to ensuring events run smoothly, help at stall events, update e-calendar, encourage attendance and official delegate duties. Time commitment would be a maximum of 5hrs a month.

Fundraising / Grants Volunteer

Support fundraising initiatives for the Association and its members including but not limited to managing fundraising and marketing campaigns as well as create and support sponsorship partners. This role will also support grant-writing duties for member groups. Time commitment expected to be a maximum five hours a week.

Nursery Volunteer

Support a member-based native plant nursery at Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang. Duties will include but not limited to propagating plants, trimming plants, watering plants and support point of sale transactions. All training provided. No experience needed. Time commitment expected to be five hours a week or more depending on availability and need.
